Only a few years ago nobody had seen these creatures: servo-based humanoids. By using simple RC servo's human-like robot are created that are able to walk on two legs and manipulate objects with their arms.

There are two features that are keys to success for servo-based humanoids . First, the humanoid should have a eye catchy appearance. Instead of looking at mechanically connected servos customers want to see a real character with personality. Second, the servo-based humanoid should move realistically. Controlling 22+ servos in order to create animated behaviors while still balancing the humanoid is a real challenge.

Is seems VStone, a Japanese company, did it all. They developed a servo-based humanoid that has both a great appearance and realistic behavior. Check out the movie below.
